Bio:

M.E.C. Jimmy Serge Catala , GZ 2022/2023
Born and raised in Montreal in the mid 1950’s. Join and served in the Royal Canadian Navy for 27 years and retired in 1997. Too young to retire, successfully completed a degree in Quality Management and went to work for the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) as a Quality Management and Aerospace Auditor then moved / seconded to United Technologies and served as a Process Engineer for Sikorsky, Hamilton Sundstrand and Pratt and Whitney throughout North America from the Irvine, California office. In 2000 decided to take a different direction and went back to complete post-secondary education, under-grad in 2005 onto Graduate school for MBA in 2007. Small career change in 2007 and returning to my roots, I joined the Seaspan family at Victoria Shipyards to assist in the development and implementation of the Submarine Program as the Support Manager. Finally retired in April 2021 after 48 years of uninterrupted work.

I have a wonderful and very understanding wife Melody, together we have seven children,
4 boys, 3 girls.

Favourite hobbies are reading and researching Masonic information (Royal Arch family) and developing / presenting education pieces.

Began my Masonic journey at United Service Lodge No.24. I was Initiated (Feb 2008),
Passed (May 2008) and Raised (Jun 2009).

and Pacific Rim Chapter No. 44.
